PROFESSOR ELŻBIETA FRĄCKOWIAK A NATIONAL ORDINARY MEMBER OF PAN

The selection was made by the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Elżbieta Frąckowiak, from January 1, 2022, will be a national ordinary member of Division IV Engineering Sciences.  A scientist associated with the Institute of Chemistry and Technical Electrochemistry at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Poznan University of Technology a few days ago received the scientific award of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences. solutions on the operation and long-term cyclic operation of electrochemical capacitors.

For many years, Professor Frąckowiak has been among the researchers of the Poznan University of Technology who are listed as the most influential scientists in the world. The list is prepared annually by Stanford University in cooperation with the Elsevier publishing house and SciTech Strategies and is published in the PLOS Biology magazine.

The professor's research interests are focused on electrochemical systems for storing and converting electricity, electrochemical capacitors, lithium-ion cells, fuel cells, redox flow cells, carbon materials, and composites with conductive polymers and chalcogenides.

Prof. Elżbieta Frąckowiak is the laureate of the Foundation for Polish Science Prize in the field of chemical sciences, she is also decorated with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
